  • When I say... "I'm a Christian"

When I say..."I am a Christian"I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."I'm whispering"I was lost,Now I'm found and forgiven."When I say..."I am a Christian"I don't speak of this with pride.I'm confessing that I stumbleand need Christ to be my guide. When I say..."I am a Christian"I'm not trying to be strong.I'm professing that I'm weakAnd need His strength to carry on.When I say..."I am a Christian"I'm not bragging of success.I'm admitting I have failedAnd need God to clean my mess. When I say..."I am a Christian"I'm not claiming to be perfect,My flaws are far too visibleBut, God believes Iam worth it.When I say..."I am a Christian"I still feel the sting of pain.I have my share of heartachesSo I call upon His name. When I say..."I am a Christian"I'm not holier than thou,I'm just a simple sinnerWho received God's good grace, somehow! By Maya Angelou

  • Post counter caching to the forum replied by yyyc514 @ Sun, 20 Aug 2006 20:06:34 -0000

Rick– Why did we lose this feature? It’s very important for performant large forums… it’s much easier to update that counter at saving than it is to runSELECT posts.* FROM posts INNER JOIN topics ON posts.topic_id = topics.id WHERE (topics.forum_id = 1) ORDER BY posts.created_at descevery time I ask for posts_count… Actually I have no idea where that code even is unless it’s a new Rails Edge thing, but I thought the posts/forums relationship and counter caching was very important.
